FAQs

Is your bamboo organic?

Yes, our bamboo is grown and manufactured without the use of any harmful chemicals. It is Oeko-tex certified.

What does Oeko-tex certification mean?

The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification system. It tests for harmful chemicals at all stages of textile production including raw textile materials, during production and the final product.

How is your bamboo made?

Our bamboo is created by crushing the bamboo plant and using a natural enzyme to break it down before fibres are created and spun into yarn. Our bamboo is organically grown and Oeko-tex certified. We manufacture our bamboo fabric using a closed-loop process, without the use of harmful chemicals.

What is the natural enzyme?

The natural enzyme used in the manufacture of our sheets is a naturally occurring enzyme for plant breakdown.

What is a closed-loop process?

This process means that our products have been designed and are manufactured with maximum usability, minimal adverse environmental impacts and minimal waste production. They are also manufactured with the most efficient use of water, energy and other resources. Specifically:

-  Our bamboo fabric is biodegradable and will not end up sitting in landfill after the lifecycle of the product

-  It is produced without the use of any harmful chemicals to ensure safety to humans, animals and the environment

-  The manufacturing process ensures that the use of water, energy and other resources is kept to a minimum

Does bamboo fabric pill?

Our bamboo is an organic and natural textile, which has not been treated with harmful chemicals. As with all natural fabrics, the bamboo may experience slight pilling with initial use, however this is reduced or removed during the washing and drying process (as per the care instructions). This is normal for natural fibres, especially in response to friction and isn't a fault or defect.

Are bamboo sheets durable?

Yes, these sheets wear just as well as high quality cotton sheets. We do recommend replacing your bedding over time due to the oils from your body. It’s important to change your pillowcases more frequently than your sheets. We recommend every 6-12 months for pillowcases and 18-24 months for sheets depending on how many sets you alternate between.

I have a really deep mattress, will these sheets fit?

Yes, our sheets are really generous and perfect for deep mattresses or mattresses with toppers.

What thread count are your sheets?

300 thread count bamboo, which is equivalent to around 1,000 thread count cotton. Thread count isn't the most important thing to consider when selecting sheets as it can often be misleading. The quality and weave of the fabric, and the way it feels to you, is the most important factor.

Does your sleepwear shrink?

Although our sleepwear fabric has been pre-washed and pre-shrunk, it is normal to experience some shrinkage when washing at home for the first few washes. Please keep this in mind when you first try on your sleepwear. We also recommend going up  size if you are unsure - we're all about that ultimate comfort!

Is your sleepwear made from the same fabric as your bedding?

Our signature sateen weave bamboo has been made to create our core sleepwear collection. We also have a range of products available in incredible bamboo jersey fabrics, which are 95% bamboo and 5% elastin.

Where are your products made?

We have tested fabrics from all over the world and selected the best manufacturer for each product separately. Our organic bamboo is from China, manufactured by a highly experienced team who create extremely soft, high quality bamboo fabric. We selected a Turkish manufacturer for our bamboo cotton towels.

What are the differences between cotton and bamboo sheets?

Bamboo has a huge range of benefits. It is even more breathable than cotton, making it great for both summer and winter. Hypoallergenic and great for those with sensitive skin due to the smooth rounded nature of the bamboo fibre, bamboo sheets are also naturally antibacterial. Best of all, you can feel great about choosing an extremely renewable resource. Bamboo uses only 1/3 of the water required to grow cotton and has no natural pests (meaning there is no need for the use of pesticides).

What sizes are your sheets available in?

Cot sheets, bassinet sheets, single, king single, double, queen, king and super king. Quilt covers in double, queen, king and super king. Fitted sheet sets are available in queen and king only.
